ONTARIO
To be entitled to public health in Ontario, it is necessary to meet all the basic conditions and at least one supplementary condition:
Basic conditions:
1- Physical presence in Ontario for 153 days during each 12-month period
2- Physical presence in Ontario for at least 153 days out of the first 183 days immediately following the date of establishment in the province.
3- Main residence in Ontario
Supplementary conditions (meet at least 1 of these)
1- Canadian citizen, permanent resident or native person
2- Application for permanent residence sent and confirmed by Immigration Canada that:
A- You meet the admissibility requirements to make the RP request
B- Your RP request has not been rejected.
3- Presence in Ontario with a valid work permit and working full time in Ontario for an Ontarien employer for at least 6 months (your partner and dependents are also eligible for Ontario health if you are)
4- Presence in Ontario with a valid work permit under the federal government’s resident family assistance program
5- Refugees or other protected persons
6- Member of a clergy who will be in full-time ministry in Ontario for at least 6 months (partner and dependents would also be eligible)
